Role: Social Media Designer / Consultant
This role involved creating a branding style, designing graphics for Instagram story highlights, and assisting with the thematic content creation strategy. I also demonstrated to my client how they could use Canva features to continue creating content on brand, and how to use Instagram analytics to monitor and interpret their success, whilst they manage the Instagram account independently. The results saw a refreshed profile and subsequent increase in followers, all whilst maintaining the original and overarching narrative:

Branding & Initial Ideas
The first stage of the rebranding process was to decide the branding style and colours. For a film account aesthetic, it seemed natural to turn to the godfather of modern film companies for inspiration... Netflix. Their black and red logo with the letter 'N' is bold yet simple, and represents a reliable streaming service. We decided F.A.F needed a new profile picture in their own thematic colours representing their reliable film reviews. After suggesting the idea of three key colours (one for each of the founders of F.A.F), I produced a series of film related drawings as potential icons for F.A.F. The film cameras and spotlights shown below were digitally drawn on an iPad, in key colours of black, red, and occasionally blue lines (like those 3D film glasses with the red and blue lenses). We settled on a red, white and black theme, presented on a minimalistic shutter board. Perfectly discernable for an Instagram profile picture.

Thematic Content Creation Strategy
The substance of F.A.F lies in the captions, where the authors indulge followers with their critical views. We developed a content strategy, involving thematic graphics and categorising the rich variety of posts; essentially making the content more easily (and aesthetically) discernable from the picture prompts / browsing the profile.
